| Treatment of TB
meningitis |
 | Isoniazid 5-10mg/kg/day up to 300 mg/day, for 12 months,
 | with Pyridoxine 50 mg qd to prevent peripheral neuropathy |
|
| plus Rifampin 10-20 mg/kg/day up to 600 mg/day for 12 months |
| plus Pyrazinamide 15-30 mg/kg/day up to 2 g per day
| Discontinue Pyrazinamide after 8 weeks if good response |
|
| Immunocompromised patient:
| above plus Ethambutol |
| treat for 2 years |
|
| May add Dexamethasone 0.3-0.5 mg/kg/day for 1 week then oral prednisone |
